Lid Supports on T@B TearDrop ?

Postby rv gal » Fri Dec 17, 2004 10:05 am

These supports look like some I'd seen years ago - telescoping type? Does anyone know how well these work or where to get them? I don't see them anymore through our regular RV parts distributor. I think the T@B is a good idea.....just a little.....big. I like the smaller designs myself.
Our little fiberglass 'shell' should be done right after Christmas...(yeah!) :)
Currently building our 1st fiberglass teardrop...ideas?

They look like automotive style gas pistons to me that can be purchased at any Auto parts place or Rv dealer.. They come rated by pounds lift. They are readily available and come in different lengths for hoods and hatches
