How Is Your Gas Today?

Postby dmb90260 » Wed Nov 08, 2006 8:29 pm

I am not one who believes in any conspiracy theories, crop circles and other assorted weirdness but................

Election day, Gas at Costco in Lawndale, CA was the lowest is has been in a very long time.... $2.17

This morning brought great sunshine and a six cent increase in gas to $2.23

As the sun is setting the corner ARCO that generally matches Costco is now up from their morning price by 2c since the sun came up $2.25

Connected to the election?? :MLAS

I doubt it but this is a case of extremely bad timing or something worse, arrogance from the Oil guys  :?

I think I hear some black helicopters headed this way.

There is no longer any incentive to keep the gas prices down...

The next two years are gonna stink...

Who's gonna replace Georgie in two years?

You guys are lucky...
Prices around here have been around 2.75 for quite a while...
The lowest place to buy gas here is either Costco or Renner... Those nice folks that donated a $50.00 gas card to the IRG. Yesterday on election day, I filled up at their cardlock and it was $2.58. (Don't know what it is today)

It's very strange down here:

The 7-11's have Citgo, and it's been $2.12 for the last few days in Coral Springs--it hasn't gone up since Tuesday. In Boca, the prices are RIDICLOUSLY higher (25 to 35 cents more), but even in Coral Springs, the OTHER stations are a lot more expensive.

Citgo has always been the cheapest down here, but because of Chavez's comments about Bush and this country, 7-11 announced that they were going to dump them as their gas provider. (The Venezuelan government basically owns Citgo.) So I'm curious to see what happens if and when this happens. Like, is 7-11 known for selling cheap gas because everything else is so overpriced in there?

Also, a new station just opened up near me that's just as cheap--Valero. Anyone ever hear of them?

We have them, used to be called Diamond Shamrock, converted/remodeled in the past year. BTW - The gas near me dropped .03 from yesterday......
