Who naps in their camper.... just me?

Postby WarPony » Sun Nov 12, 2006 9:31 pm

I just got off the phone with Doug Hodder and asked him the same question. When I was in the halfway stage on my build, I would crawl in and lay down while I pondered which way to go with my ideas. An hour later, I woke up. Do you guys do the same thing?

Granted, I am not married or have kids so I don't consider it a "dog house" to escape to but like Doug said, "It's cool to lay there and say, 'Look what I've done!' ".

Anybody else?

A few months back, when Shirley wasn't feeling well, I spent 3 nights in the camper... put it next to the house and it just became an extra bedroom... worked very well...

During the build, I would do the 'lay down and look thing', but my schedule was so tight, I didn't do it very much.

When we had my wife's brother and sister over last year (my mother-in-law was in the hospital) I slept in the trailer.

Yep, this must be part of the deal. I just dry fitted the walls yesterday, with only a couple of spars showing. My wife and I both had to lay down in it for a few mins. This thing seems to be bigger than I imagined, I guess because is still all open right now.

Friday we used the tear to watch a movie. It was much cooler in the tear than in the house.

I've spent many "think sessions" inside a project!

I escape into it on a regular basis when I need a quiet place to study.

Napping in the teardrop? :SH No, just been sleeping in it for 5 months now. I did a lot of napping in it while building it. I usually stand back and look at things I'm making and think about it including the tear. We are really enjoying the tear as about 99% of what I make disappears to the customer never to be seen again. Like Steve, it's a great place to watch a movie much better than the house. :D Danny

NAP IN TD

Postby CPASPARKS » Mon Nov 13, 2006 11:01 am

I like to watch the DVD's that are not suitable for my younger children to watch in my teardrop.

However, I have just two speeds on my body...on and off.

Accordingly, if I ever slow down enough to be horizontal for a few minutes...I am out like a light.

Do not read into the post anything adult oriented or XXX rated

Needless to say...yes I have been known to nap from time to time...

Warpony,

Yes, I have taken a nap or two in it. I particully like to curl up in the nose of it. It's sort of a "People's Cave" :)
