Thanks for the vote of confidence, MaryK. Everyone here has been super-helpful. I decided to relax and have fun with my build. of coarse the weather is bad here in west Tennessee today so I can't really get anything done. I will post some pics of myself doing the Teardrop Dance when I get to about where you are in construction.

I'll gladly let you ride my dirtbike if you're ever up in TN teardrop camping. We ride all over the Tri-State area every weekend. The dirtbike has brought me back to rediscover my love of camping latelt thus the need for a teardrop.

Sandman,

If you race up to Michigan on your motorcycle this weekend, I can show you how easy it is to build a teardrop. ;)

Mike...
The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten, so build your teardrop with the best materials...

Mike,

I'd love to race up there and let you BUILD my teardrop while I watch and assist. Every weekend I go trail riding so it's hard to pry me away from bike on Saturday and Sunday. It's all good...All the posts have helped me figure out exactly what I need to do to get the floor started which should be tomorrow. I am saving the expensive oak and ripping 2x4's for the frame. You were right about how much of a waste it is to use such nice lumber where it won't even be seen. I can hardly wait to make the first cuts and begin assembling the floor tomorrow...I will take lots of pics to share with everyone.

This forum ROCKS!!!!!!
