BTW...sorry about the hijack...that curly looks great!!!! And as far as dowels are concerned...with a choice of dowels or biscuits...I always use dowels. You would be really, really happy with a self centering jig for frame work....Juneaudave

JuneauDave I love making knives.. Its a whole lot of enjoyment.. even the wife has made a few....
I have a jig for centering the dowels as well, its still in the package...
trying out the pocket screw system as well later today...
Hopefully I,ll be able to accomplish a few things again while Home Alone..
Majority of furniture here has them wood dowels now a days...real strong ....

no problem I showed the knives for a purpose so feel free to
speak about that knife making too...
