Hey, don't laugh - I have two large Bahco adjustable spanners. They're lovely quality tools, as one expects from the Swedes, but you have to turn the thumbwheels in opposite directions on the two spanners to close up the jaws.

Whassat all about?

Andrew

PS It's just occurred to me - you don't think they changed which way their spanners adjust when they switched the side of the road they drive on, do you?

Hi Kevin and Marty,

Sorry to hear about the loss of your cat. Its amazing how we get attached to our pets.

Shuggie our Q.C. cat supervised every aspect of our build. In this photo he inspects the door openings in the outside wall skins.

On Occaision, we had to temper Suggie's exuberance for the project. Such as when he left his muddy paw prints over the inside roof skin I had just finished sanding.

Kevin and Marty,
You have my sympathy for your loss. My wife and I lost our 13 year old cat back in July (still have one cat). We miss him.
I remember an episode of The Simpsons where their family dog has a near death experience, and is running toward the gates of heaven. At the bottom of one gate is a pet door. I love that image! It's humorous, but somehow uplifting! Who knows, maybe there is a place for pets up there. I imagine Saint Peter calling "here, kitty kitty"!

Hi Kevin,

Sorry to hear about the loss of your cat. I know it's tough when a pet has been around that long, one of the family. I had a 17 year old pit bull that passed earlier this year. I still miss him. Squirelly was certainly a part of teardrop culture!

This is gonna turn into a missed pets post. *sniff*

Here's my dog. She was 16 (Siberian Husky) and passed away last month. This was the last photo I took (end of summer) with her. *sniff* *quivering lip*

Image

She was active right up until her last days. She stopped eating her food (always fed her rice/lamb food) and slowed down. She ate half of a hotdog I gave her and she went and laid down. I sat next to her and petted her, and she passed away.

It's difficult to be upset about her dying since she lived such a long/happy life, but I do really miss her. I still catch myself glancing outside to see if she's looking in the windows.

Kevin & Marty and now Steve - very sorry for the loss of your furry friends. Kate lost three of her cats since June. The first two were sad but no real surprise - Elias was seventeen and Fuzz had to be over twenty. But when her favorite, little nine year old Scout died suddenly of kidney failure, that was quite a blow to her. Scoutie was the one who got her through the depression after her husband died back in '97. That left her with two, and two cats are nowhere near enough for Kate, especially with Scoutie gone.

So I think Scoutie came back from the fields beyond the fields and led Moggy to her porch a couple of weeks ago.
