The last thing I bought was Irwin bar clamps. I know I heard someone say in an earlier post that they have slipped on them but they haven't for me.

My modern rifles (Remingtons) and some of my handguns (Smith & Wesson, Colt) don't count since I bought them used. However, I did buy a new Redfield 4x52 scope for my Remington 725 (.30-'06.)

All my flintlock rifles save one are hand made by me from 100% American parts. The exception is one made by Wayne Watson (who built the Killdeer rifle for Daniel Day Lewis to use in "Last of the Mohicans"), also of 100% American parts.

I'm sure I'll think of more.

I still have a pair of Seabago Docksiders and a pair of H. H. Brown hiking boots, both of which I bought new when they were still made in the USA. I wanted to replace the Docksiders because they were beginning to look a little ratty so I bought a pair of new ones on-line, only to find to my horror that they were made in China. Nowhere near the quality of my old ones, which I will keep until they fall apart - which they show no sign of doing yet.
