Len, you have a great memory! Yep, I remember the Ramones being on a lot, and I remember it was filmed in like almost a garage…and you could hear the trucks zooming by! It was originally on real early, but they kept making it later and later because it became a cult with teenagers, who got out of school later.
And those pictures hanging on the wall! People, not kids, would also send in nutty stuff, and Floyd would lie and simply tell the kiddies that it said something totally different.
Two more things--I HAVE OOGIE! He's a Pelham Puppet, and when I was on a cruise to Bermuda, I saw him and immediately bought him.
Also, did you know that Uncle Floyd is still around and active? There's a show on Sirius called the Wise Guys Show (once a week), hosted by Big Pussy of the Sopranos, and Floyd is one of the regulars. The show is HYSTERICAL, just abunch of Guidos shooting the breeze.
