Steve Wolverton's Cowper

Postby sandman » Wed Dec 20, 2006 9:14 pm

Hey Guys,

Been busy lately and finally getting back into my build. I was wondering if anyone has any build pics of the Steve Wolverton's Cowper. I know it's been sold and turned into a Ladybug now. I went to Steve's site and the Cowper build pages are gone. I downloaded the plans here and am interested in any other build pics on this TD.

I put the Benroy on hold and decided to build the Cowper with a few mods so it will be a Little Guy Sport Clone.

Steve-if you read this, do you have any of the web pages still around when you built the Cowper? Any photos or tips would be great.

The LadyBug was also sold. Why don't you P.M. Steve. He's active on the board. Who knows, maybe he'll see this thread and jump in.

I didn't want to bug Steve besides I figure there might be other folks that may benefit from the post if they were thinking about building the Cowper.

You're not bugging me - I love this stuff! Sorry it took awhile to respond, but I've been camping in my new trailer. :) I've got tons of pics of the Cowper and drawings. I'll try to get them online tonight.

I may have the build pages saved as HTML too. I'll dig around and see what I can find.

Found it!

Here is the old site http://www.brochis.com/teardrop.html- haven't fixed the links and stuff yet.

Here we go...

Steve,

You are da' man. Thank you so much for taking the time to post all this stuff for me. You are a true scholar and gentleman. I am using your plans to build a copy of the Little Guy Sport. I am a very visual person so the pics help out quite a bit. Instead of rounding off the front, I am going to make the front end flat just like the Little Guy Sport. Questions will come up I am sure. I knew you were busy with your tiny trailer build so I didn't want to bug you. Great job on the TT. I have been watching your progress for a few weeks on here.

Thanks again and Happy Holidays to you and yours.

sandman - Hope it helps. Let me know if you have any questions. I do remember that back curve was a real pain. Removing the bottom curve on the front should also give more room.

Gerdo - Far from done - the interior hasn't been painted, curtains still need to be sewn, trim, etc.

The latest pics are here: http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?t=11984&start=210

She did stay dry in a horrible rain storm, and it was always toasty with our little 750 watt heater in a tiny trailer w/o insulation. It was cold in the bathroom when we opened up that door though. :o
