Does anyone have a source for all glass framed entry doors or mostly glass entry doors? Thanks Joe

Thanks Steve, the "DoubleHaulInn" is under construction, just about finished with the new axle, springs and related parts. Plans include a 8 foot rod locker to keep my fly rods and convential rods stowed away during travel and at night. No pics yet, maybe Santa will see my need for a digital camera.
Merry Christmas,
Joe

Hey there, Joe!

There USED to be an outfit in Elkart, IN (RM Doors), that made framed glass entry doors for the cargo doors in the back of pickup caps ... the ones that had the tailgate removed ... but he went out of business years ago. All my early Li'l Bears were designed around his doors. If you check with some local aluminum truck cap builders, you might get lucky and find one in their attic. A friend of mine built a couple of teardrops that used the same kind of door, but his first one used a Lumberjack instore storm-door demo and the second one was a cut-down standard storm door (that was damaged in-transit to the store).

I've built my own radius-corner entry doors using a radius-corner baggage door frame, 1/4" Lexan, shower door welting, a radius-corner slider window for ventilation, and a locking screen-door handle & latch. Kind of spendy, but works nicely and looks cool.

Lassenview Custom Teardrops builds his doors out of 1/2" plexi/Lexan without a frame, and they seem to be working just fine. You could do the same and add a radius-corner slider window for ventilation.

Lastly, Little Guy teardrops have really nice radius-corner doors that are mostly glass and nothing more than (factory)modified RV emergency egress windows. They are very nice looking and from what I hear, work really well, too. I doubt that you could pry one away from them, though, but it is something to look at, and "grist for the mill", as they say.

Hope that helps a bit. Good Luck with the build, and ...

CHEERS!

Someone mentioned that the Lil'Guy doors make consensation like crazy. I wouldn't doubt it because sometimes I have to crack my windows open so the condensation doesn't run down the side of my door. Leaving a water stain in the process.
