The Only National Museum dedicated to WWI

The Only National Museum dedicated to WWI opened in Kansas City in November. If your in the area it's a great place to visit. The monument was originally built in the early 1920's and had been neglected for a long time. Residents voted to restore it and build a state of the art museum as well. Here are a couple links.

The museum site.

Some of you may know that one of "projects" is a 7/8th scale WWI fighter powered by a VW engine. This link is a video from the local news channel with a couple of friends of mine that have been flying their replicas for 20 years. Last count there were 5-6 of these flying in the KC area.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I've always been a big fan of WWI history.
I'd love to get back out that way some time, Sue and I spent part of our honeymoon there.

Thank you. I called my mother and we're contributing for a brick to for my grandfather, WWI Army, for the Walk of Honor. I think he would like that. She's searching for the old newpaper clip that lists his company and dates of service right now. A good start to the new year and a trip to look forward to this summer.

Lynn,
My sisters and I purchased a brick for our dad and it really is neat. Send me the details after you get ti and I'll go up and shoot you a picture. They have done a fantastic job with the museum and memorial. It is definitly worth a visit and there are some other neat things to do in that part of town.
