New Years Eve Party Suggestions!

Postby elmo » Thu Dec 28, 2006 8:01 pm

Okay here is the deal...I married into a tradition...my wife and all her high school friends have been getting together since 9th grade for New Years Eve. This year it is our turn to host. :P

Long story short I am looking for a party theme idea. We have had Mexican, Chinese food, a murder mystery, we even did dress as your favorite month, (don't ask) etc...! I am looking for something creative and fun. :scratchthinking: Now remember this is last minute so nothing too complicated.

Thanks in advance!

Elmer

Wisconsin, eh?
I guess the trailer trash theme is out, but what about a Jimmy Buffet theme? Home Depot or Lowe's has play sand that can go on a tarp. Palm trees can be found at Party City or a like store along with parrots, tiki items, etc. Lots of Margharitas, fruit drinks, maybe a small swimming pool outside the door for the adventurous. We are the people our parents warned us about! A little Jimmy music along with some reggea? Could be thrown together quick like.
GET CRACKIN', MAN. I can see it now. A run on Hawaiin Shirts in Wisoconsin in December. Guys with pencil thin mustaches. Blown out flip flops. Lots of pink flamingos.
I think it sounds good enough that I may do it next year. Already have plans for that nite this year..........
Sorry 'bout the spelling. Too lazy to do the Word thing.

I have been leaning toward a Tailgate Party theme, but someone has done it before! I may have a repeat theme as a last resort.

By the way...not everyone in Green Bay is a Football Fan...I think they are all over paid and horrible role models! The only reason I hope they win is because everyone is so damn grumpy on Monday if they don't.

Sorry if I offended any football fans!

I think they should get paid incentive based. Base salary and for every pass they complete...touchdown...tackle...field goal they kick...sack...they get a little more in their paycheck. That way the best player at the end of the year makes the most.

If arrested...off the team until cleared...if not cleared you are done! DUI's done!

Sorry I think I just hijacked my own thread!

A help build the Tear party  think of the work you could get done with everyone else helping.
Of coarse alcohol and power tools might not be a good combo.

I like this idea! Just need to get around the power tool issue! I suppose I could pre-cut a bunch of stuff...I never hurt myself with a screw gun!

It could be like an old fashioned barn raising. Everyone should dress in overalls though.

I think what Juneaudave might be suggesting is an 80's party. Mulllets and Flock of Seagulls wigs! Now that's a party! :tipsy:

Understand Elmer, not everyone in Green Bay is a football fan.

BrwBier - Come on, I know this may be ol' number 4s last game, but come on, GO BEARS!

Sorry for the hijack Elmer. Hope whatever you choose is a great time.
