Ok .....it's a known fact that 10% of the death sentences handed out in this country are wrong because the prosecutor manipulated the case in front of the jury. So, if a person is put to death and later is found to be found innocent, I personally think the jury and the prosecutor needs to be hung in front of their families. ........ They committed murder also....
And when a police officer lies in a death penalty case , he needs to have the death penalty too.....

You assume that the justice is this country is fair.......

Everytime a police officer gets caught lying...And in my town we have a trial going on right now for 4 of them, our children need to know that not all police officers are not to be trusted. Let's let our children watch those trials.......

It works both ways....... That is why the deeath penalty is wrong.

Enemy of my enemy.

The world is full of dictators, always has been. Most are monsters.

Andew each state in the US is permitted to make it's own laws and the Supreme Court decides if that law violates the US bill of rights. I have no influence in Texas because I don't vote in Texas. We, all of us vote on these issues in our States. It isn't a government decision. The US government rarely executes anyone.

If there's an upside to Saddam's execution, I think it is that it sends a message to all of Iraq and the Middle East that Iraq has a functioning government (without a dictator), complete with a working judicial system. It may not be firing on all cylinders, but I believe that it will improve quickly. It tells any would-be dictators and their followers that Saddam's fate will also be theirs if they try to take over.
Strange as it may seem to his critics, I think George W. has a vision that democracy will take root in Iraq and spread to other Mideast nations, thereby stabilizing the whole region, and maybe their so-called leaders will stop acting like Barbarians! I truly hope it works!

I think Saddam’s hanging will act as a deturent for other dictators. If they don’t respect US then hopefully the will fear US…

I prefer respect but 911, the USS Cole, several Embassies, prove that the US is not respected. If we can’t get respect than fear will have to do.

Well....we've dumped billions and billions of dollars into all sorts of countries in the last 40 years and that hasn't worked, whether it be agricultural/economic programs or infrastructure, maybe a big circle holding hands and singing Com By Ya, or however the hell you spell it, or a big group hug...that hasn't been tried, I'm sure all the 3rd world countries out there will go for that...It's the same crap that has been going on for ever...I've travelled through 45 countries on 6 continents mostly 3rd world, and no matter what we do, It ain't enough, or good enough...I'd rather live in a country where that crowd fears us rather than us fearing them.....Doug

I'm afraid I also have to jump on the 'fear this' bandwagon. It does almost no good to try to buddy up to these nations, every time we have we just spend bucket loads of money on them and then we get stabbed in the back.
It just isn't worth being the nice guy any more.

Why Johnny what do you mean the other boys don't like you? Didn't you give them the money for food. You know if they are buying guns and drugs they won't have good nutrition? Hungry people will always rise up against the wealthy. Haven't you given them your food like we told you? If you are going to be selfish they are going to hate you.

But mom I did all that. They said it wasn't enough and I was just trying to corrupt them and they beat up my friends. They said I have to give them new guns so my friends can't come back and hurt them.

Why Johnny, that just can't be true. No one acts like that. You have been very good to them. You must be lying. No one acts like that. You just need to talk to them. If you respect thier rights they will respect you.
