How would I change to a larger tire at this point. The wheel well won't except a much larger tire. They are the tires that were standard on the popup.

Thought Andrew said they catch fire at 35mph.

Scott, I see you survived New Years. ;) My tires are 8" but I have longer spring hangers so at any point I want to get a ladder to get in my camper I can go bigger. If you have a problem with the small tires you can come back and do this. Or better have someone do it for you cause it is a pain if you can't tip the trailer over.

Your tires have a weight limit you want to keep up with. Right now I am looking for some speciality tires. My airplane tires may get me in trouble.

Ok Ira I'm A little slow today. I guess I've never seen a popup tire explode. And now that it's mentioned I remeber this debate on here somewhere before.

I figured if I stay under the weight of the original popup I should have no trouble. I am thinking of going up a little.

As far as surviving New Years I had no Choice. My 2 year old twins didn't understand I wanted to sleep in They still got up at 7:30 like always

I really don't think we will have a problem. The only issue I can see is if we get going too fast around a very sharp corner. Don't try to drag race with it.

Are you running 570/8"? That is what I have but I really am thinking for putting my airplane tires back on. They are rated at 3600# ea. High speed rating too. 8) Problem is the Highway Patrol doesn't like them.

Oh gosh you would have to have been here. I bought my trailer from my brother with what were supposed to be brand new go cart tires bought at a divorce sale for $25.

I got home and noticed my tires were complete bald. I checked everything I could think then had a full blown fit. I posted and we all had a good laugh. They are brand new airplane tires. High speed, high weight airplane tires.

Unfortunately the Highway Patrol officer said she would ticket me if I did my inspection in them so I had to buy tires of extremely less quality. :x
