Hostile & Abusive

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Political Correctness is killing this nation. The Chief and/or Indian logo is a good strong logo, it's a shame these people got to play these games.

The Washington Redskins-can you amagine anything else? They went through this about five years ago.

This "PC Crap" is trying to eliminate Christmas, the Ten Commandments, God in this country, Terrorist profiling, etc.

May God have mercy on our souls!

Which reminds me--why is Oriental considered offensive?

Is the Orient an actual geographical place?

I have no idea why it is offensive. The only comment I've really heard is, "What, am I a rug?"

Oh and another thing, Stars & Bars, the rebel flag. Grew up with it most of my life. I don't see tat as offensive either.

Because way back anyone of Asian decent was "those Orientals". They were the cheap labor of the day and were looked down on. Just like the Irish meant drunk and Jew meant cheap and Scottish meant cheapper than Jew. Most genetic groups have at some point been given a nic name that is intended to be demeaning. Some, are proud of it.

Oh yeah, The flag of the South. (rebel) is the flag of a foreign nation and should not be flown in the United States above the Stars and Stripes.

(Edited to say what I mean.) But if we can fly the UN flag on our shores, We should fly it the Confederate flag proudly.

Trivia time: Texas CAN fly their flag at the same height as the US flag because they won their independence from Mexico.

I noticed it when I first moved here and thought it was odd. We were on some tourist thing and they explained it.

Even though this is considered "The South" I always seem to forget because I consider it "Out West". When we first moved here I was plesantly suprised when I found that can get grits and eggs or biscuits and gravy.

Interesting tidbit on the Texas flag. Didn't know that.

I do wonder why the Mexican flag flies at the same level as the United States flag at the Chamizal National Park here in El Paso, Texas!

I apologize for mixing up the Florida schools. Both schools have terrific teams. We get that also with UND Fighting Sioux and the pesky North Dakota State Bison ( The Bison name is not hostile and abusive, but the animal sure can get angry)

The reason why this is important is the Bison just went Div I and UND is going Div I next year.

We are Div I in hockey and have a premier team. The Sioux were at a tourny at Dartmouth this last week end and one person had a protest sign. The AD apologized to Dartmouth students a few weeks ago that we were invited. The Dartmouth Pres. apologized to UND. There were no incidents of protest.

Some Div. I schools will not schedule a team with this type of name.
