Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Well you do learn something new every day. I've never heard of such a thing being put on a trailer. What size are they?

New Tires and rims are up on my list before my first trip. While on the subject the tire says rated for 750lbs does that mean 1500 pounds for the combined 2 tires? I know probably a silly question.

Yep, combined weight. Though you should stay below that, it's the max weight.

Yep. But you really don't want to go too close to that weight and keep the air correct. The tires on a trailer just roll along so you aren't going to wear them out as fast as car.

You might also remind your self to check the bearing as you go down the road since it is an older axle. Just feel for heat. 8)

Please don't, it's a much better idea to check them when stopped, say at a gas station or rest stop. 8) 8) 8)

I know I've posted it before but it bears repeating: here is a link to the Carlisle trailer tyre website:
Carlisle USA Trail tyres

You can look up the weight rating of most small tyres there - they are standard across all makes, but pay attention to the tyre's load range - it's not just the tyre size that matters.

You might need to look in some of the other tyre pages (under 'Products' and 'Trailer') if you have an odd tyre size, or something like radial ST trailer tyres.

But they don't list Miriam's airplane tyres.
