Really Dumb Question...hahah Really

OK this is dumb. But does anyone have a aprox. weight of a sheet of 1/4 plywood. Im looking into a few options for my squidget build and this would help me .

3/4" plywood is 75#
1/2" plywood is 50#
1/4" plywood is 25#

Mike used to work for the American Plywood Weight Association (APWA) so he's able to fire those number off from memory.

Mike, is there any variation in that for species/grade?

Because 3/4'' birch at Sutherland's is a whale of a lot harder to lift than 3/4'' roof sheathing!!

www.apawood.org has a "Plywood Design Specification", publication #Y510. They have a list of species of wood plywood is made from and charts with "approximate" weights per square foot and a bunch of other info. Also, they don't seem to differentiate between different species. APA requires registration to download PDF's, but it's free and easy.

Those are nominal weights for a common hardwood plywoods, like fir. I think birch is close too. For exotic stuff, go to Boulter Plywood to get the weights...
