Andrew,
We can't leave out Australian Rules Football as a tough sport, Our friend down under would never forgive us
We call it Jai Alai (prounced hi lie), I don't know where the name came from. It used to be very popular as a betting sport in South Florida, now I believe its only played in the Miami area if at all. I do remember most people believed it was fixed and it was a huge when the first non-Basque started playing.angib wrote:
2) Basque Pelota - still played in the USA? As kids we were taught this is the most dangerous game of all - think of a baseball doing nearly 200mph - they do now wear helmets, but I think that is so they can bury you with all the bits.
