Latest Scam...IRS Audit scam

This link is at scambusters, with news about a new scam, a fake IRS audit email. In the past few months, I've gottn similar scam emails supposedly from Ebay, Paypal, and even my own bank. I've reported them all the appropriate parties. ANY email that has a link or form that requests personal info such as bank account numbers, social security numbers, cretid card numbers, is most likely a scam...DELETE THEM.

...let me say again what Dale just said...if you receive an email from a company/entity soliciting ANY personal info directly, then it is probably a scam...even if you have a relationship with that company, they will tell you to goto your account to provide any needed info...NO INFO tansmitted thru email is secure...NEVER GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFO THRU AN EMAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what you guys are talking about:

I was just contacted by a barrister from Nigeria who wants to deposit $50 million into my bank account because the Tsu-Tsus are invading the country and his client wants to protect the money. And I get half just for hiding it for him.

The barrister also told me that if I'm lucky, the Tsu-Tsus will machete him to pieces, and then I get ALL of the money.

It seems that my Jewish surname is somehow linked to his tribe going back generations and generations regarding tribal movements throughout Nigeria, Ethiopia, Libya, and eventually Brooklyn and Boca Raton.

And I'm the only one he can trust--if I send him 100 bucks first.

I'm gonna be RICH! I must have heard from TWENTY similarly wealthy Africans in the past week ALONE!

Just got another offer to buy my "Harbor Freight 1800# axle/springs combo".

This is probably the 50th (or more) email I've received on this scam. It's always the same type letter but this one made me chuckle.

Mrs. Linda Fisher sounds like a neat lady but if really wants make the scam work she needs to be a little more convincing.
I know she's trying, but this scam has been around and discovered years ago.
Maybe she needs the money for English lessons.

the sad part about the whole thing is that it only keeps happening because people keep falling for it and sending them money
if people stopped falling for it and they would give up and move onto something else
