International Teardrop Gathering

Be Careful in the Primitive Area with Electrical. I was in this area last year and asked for a drop cord. When I got it, I plugged in and blew up my TV, Satelite Receiver and Coffee Pot. I think my drop cord was connected to 220V.

Question about doubling up ....... is it just left up to the gods or can we find someone to double up with and let you know when we send in registrations? just a thought.

By the way.... the Oklahoma Jewel Box is slated to be there !!!!

Pick a friend to double up with. If you both make reservations the camp manager will asign you to the same site.
If you just request 1/2 site on reservation, they will asign with who ever does the same.
Regardless, after 2 days, you will be frinds.

Dan, we had several trailers out there and hooked to the elec. poll at the first one with no problems. I guess the best thing to do is bring your own cord and ask questions when in doubt. Also if there is 220 & 110 outlets, maybe Bill will tag the 220's not to use.

Scott, don't worry about a thing. Things will be a tight but will be ok. Heck the 'Five Wide Club' out of California had 6 teardrops in one site.

Welcome aboard. The Minden gathering is a great way to meet teardroppers from all over the country (and Mexico and Canada too). We've borrowed a friends Lil Guy and they are great trailers. If you're interested in a warm up to ITG a bunch of us are getting together in Beavers Bend OK March 30-April1. It's a days drive from KC but it's really beautiful and a lot of fun.

A new .pdf flyer has been created that can be downloaded and printed doublesided for a tri-fold handout. It can be printed color or B&W. When you print, set the page scaling to "none" and it will print to the margins, allowing the text boxes to fit neatly in the three folds. Personally, I print "masters" at home and then hit the copy shop on 1/2 price day. Saves ink and the paper can get wet without smearing...

I'm really hoping to make it to Minden this time, just waiting to see if I can get holidays then. But, I do have a question. I know that I will be in the primitive area as my trailer is not a true teardrop. Will I be able to put in tent pegs for my canopy or do I need to figure out something else to keep it up? If things work out I should be arriving on the 13th, which also happens to be my birthday. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Yes Cathy, as you can see in the pic below, the 'primitive area' is a big grassy area with some trees and tent pegs/stacks are allowed.
