MJ,
Sounds like the loop will fill up this time.
Is it time to reserve Yet.

I smoke a mean brisket.
Or maybe a fryed turkey.

Steve...been thinking about doing a seafood gumbo for Friday and then smoking some briskets for Saturday...it will be easier for the pot luckers to do something to go along with the briskets than with the gumbo...by the way, I am ready to reserve as well, just remember it will be the last weekend in October

by the way...EVERYONE...did y'all like the way/area we set up in last time...I think I will reserve 2 sites together(38-40) this year and use one for everyone to gather at and to keep Mister Shiny/New 5thWheeler from having to put up with us all  ;)

...Ranger Tom, told me that they were going to add decks to 25 additional sites by the time we return...that'll be great!!!!

A site for the central gathering spot sounds great.
I'll bring the smoker and some pecan.

I'm still laughing about that hapless 5th wheeler that got stuck in the middle of all of us...and then refused to step outside for some fun, regardless of several personal invitations to join us...oh well...some peoples kids...ya know wot I mean ;)

I got a kick out of them, too. The only time they came out was to jump in their truck and go somewhere!!! Lake Bistineau is a beautiful park...... I can't believe how people buy big campers and stay cooped up inside them the whole time. They might as well stay at home and save the money for......... well, I don't know. People are funny creatures but sometimes aren't very fun creatures.

Jeff, the only time I saw him outside, was when he came out and lowered the corner of his awning so he couldn't see us or us see him...his wife seemed real friendly and spent several hours each day walking around the loop...

I didn't take it too personally. He probably doesn't socialize with the shoppers when he overnights in the WalMart parking lots either.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

I thought it was funny that he would keep peeking out the window, But would not satisfy his interest by coming out and talking to us. He kept sending his wife over on fact finding missions to find out why all of us crazy people were camped out in these goofy little trailers.

It would be sweet if they would let us double up on some of the sites... especially like that pull thru I had last time... plus the deck, didn't really need/use it. Could've parked another teardrop or two on it though. That spots would've supported at least four teardroppers!!!

Madjack I'm planning on being there at LCG this year and no KFC for me
I have still not have any replies from Mena about using for this summer.
But three others said let them know when and one would like us to come with open arms and invites. Even the small park wanted us and suggested nearby area we could park and visit.

I am contemplating HARD on going. I had planned to take Oct 27th thru Nov 3rd off for my 40th Birthday...I was planning to go to Pisgah Nat Forest, NC for some good ol TD time.... But Golly,, its hard to pass up meeting all of you fine folks.

Guess I could take the 25th thru 1st off and go to LCG and stay a few extra days after every one has left. Or head back to FL and find another interesting campground to finish off the vacation.... :?

Anybody planing on staying a few days longer??
