I have a "Dreambox", it's a FTA satelite receiver with some software modifications. Anyway it picks up all the incare cameras and communications on a seriese of channels. Pretty neat.

Sirius will definitly benefit, but I'm talking about TV. I'm not a big NASCAR fan but I enjoy watching (and being able to choose who I ride with) from inside the car and listen to them at the same time.

Google Dreambox. No monthly fee, just lots of computer work periodically.

79 clams if you bought before 1-31-07... Will have five different TV channels to choose from for five onboard cameras in five different cars at all 37 races. It's called Nascar Hot Pass.
The first race of the season will be free to all Directv subscribers.

Yeah, I was too lazy to print the finer details, but it's definitely made me consider switching from DISH!

Comcast had free Track Pass as part of your Internet subscription. At least they did last season. I hope they do this season too.

These guys are doing a fantastic job on marketing Nascar...It'll be interesting to see just how far it goes in the future...just me...but it sure beats watching a baseball/basketball/ football game....and as I recall, I can't think of a Nascar driver involved in a spousal abuse incident...K Busch did screw up though....Doug

Doug,
Several friends of mine, my kids and TDN don't enjoy watching the cars go 'round in circles as they put it.
As a race fan, maybe I fall into the category of being one of those that watch things happen, instead of being one who makes things happen... If so, oh well. All I know about this, when I was five years old, my dad took me to his buddy's wrecking yard where they had been building a race car for a big local race. The car itself really intreaged me, with all the extra crap removed and such a cool looking paint job... almost like something a kid would create if asked to build an automobile.
Well... I didn't get to see that race, but I saw that same race car AFTER the race and the "new" condition it was in. An epic battle had indeed taken place. That's what hooked me on stock car racing and I've been following them ever since.
To me, what makes a Nascar race, like the upcoming Daytona 500 way more exciting than a football game is, 43 teams play each other at the same time... instead of only two.
Oh Yaa... Nascar starts their season with their Super Bowl, instead of ending with it.
However, this year could be the year that I decide to step back from it all.
My dream as a boy was to play in the NFL... I didn't make it past high school. (Knee)
I knew every pro player's number, position, college and could reel off their stats. I don't think it was my physical limitations that soured me on football, but the politics of football.
I'm seeing those same politics in racing now too.
Having Toyota come into the mix this year and all the intreage about the car of tomorrow has kept the political hangman at bay for one more year.
Speaking of the COT... I just found out that Nascar is having teams build new cars of "yesterday" for several races this season.
What the hell happened to the car of tomorrow???
When did they decide to only use it part time this year???
Politics, politics, politics... Nascar seems to change things on a daily basis these days.
Sorry for the rant...
Oh... Jimmy Spencer had some family issues come up a while back and some say that the reason Brooke divorced Jeff was because she found out he was gay. ;)
