Steve Earl..... Copperhead Road...... Yeah, that's a good one... I'm involved with a cycling group that has one of the "Dukes" as a member. Once I discovered he played with Steve Earl, I started listening to Steve Earl's stuff..... He is political. Listening to his stuff sometimes bothers me... I know many of you guys are my age[50] and like me, might have been hellraisers in your youth..... But now we have become the ones we rebelled against.
I'm not talking about crazy nights drunk driving, fights and stuff that harms others...... But some other things.
I may have smoked a little stuff back in the day. I don't today for personal reasons, but I don't care if anyone else does...... But the other day at an apartment complex I witnessed the cops hauling several people away for smoking pot in their apartment...... the apartment manager of the complex turned them in ...
I knew this apartment manager for a long time. He smoked with us every day through high school....... When I asked him why didn't he just tell the people in the apartment to cool it, he told me that several years ago he was working undercover in a town not far from us.........

Made me sick......

I look at what shape we are in this country today where neighbors are at each others throats and I question how much I have contributed to that. And Steve earl's songs point out that to me every time I listen to them......
"I am the guy our parents warned us about."

Night time or Day Time driving? There is a difference

Night Time. Bob Seger- Against the Wind or Eagles- Desperado

Day Time. You can't beat the Beach Boys for some great cruising songs

Now, I'm a huge Steve Earl fan and Guitar town is a clasic, But it's hard to beat "Radar Love". Though Being from Michigan I'd have to tip my hat to Bob Segar's "Turn the Page" or the "Motor City Madman's (Ted Nuget for the un-initiated" "Hibernation".

Just my 2 CENTS.

Anything ZZ Top would be great but I really like an album called "25 Rockin' Instrumentals"
1. Miserlou - Dick Dale & The Del-Tones
2. Memphis - Lonnie Mack
3. Bongo Rock - Preston Epps
4. Tall Cool One - The Wailers
5. Raunchy - Bill Justis
6. Soul Twist - King Curtis & The Noble Knights
7. Rebel Rouser - Duane Eddy
8. Rumble - Link Wray
9. The Happy Organ - Dave 'Baby' Cortez
10. Wheels - The String-A-Longs
11. Teen Beat - Sandy Nelson
12. Tequila - The Champs
13. Asia Minor - Kokomo
14. Honky Tonk - Bill Doggett
15. Penetration - The Pyramids
16. Bust Out - The Busters
17. Time Is Tight - Booker T & The MG's
18. Percolator (Twist) - Billy Joe & The Checkmates
19. Red River Rock - Johnny & The Hurricanes
20. Wild Weekend - The Rockin' Rebels
21. Drums A-Go-Go - The Hollywood Persuaders
22. Guitar Boogie Shuffle - The Virtues
23. Bumble Boogie - B. Bumble & The Stingers
24. Torquay - The Fireballs
25. Walk-Don't Run - The Ventures
