Houston We Have a Problem

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

It's longer than 900miles, I've made the drive many times. There is no way your car will last long enough to where you need a diaper. Even my truck which can go almost 500mi on one tank will need gas before I have to use the bathroom (usually). Add to that she was probably in a hurry, I don't think you get very good mileage when driving in a hurry.

I don't know about you guys but I take care of business while my gas guzzler is filling up. But if I ever find the need to travel long distances to assault someone, I will give that diaper idea some thought.

You have to get in the mind of someone who is going to commit a crime. If you wear a diaper you don't have to go in and be seen. You can buy your gas with debit/credit card that is prepay and not be seen. I don't really know if they can track those cards.

That she didn't just put some other form of personal use item in shows she wasn't thinking clearly. Even adult diapers won't last that long and then you have to change them.

Steve T. You are right about the media feeding. They will probably hold a party every year to celebrate. Every time the shuttle goes up we will hear how just_____years ago---And the jokes----well some of them will be funny even to me. :D

And of course it's all so much funnier because she is a woman.

Would it be newsworthy if a male cosmonaut behaved this way?

This is sad and horrible for all the people involved. That Jay Leno, David Letterman and other ethically and morally impaired people find it funny leaves me nauseated.

Laredo:

You seem to be taking it hard from the woman perspective. Can see
exactly what your saying as this decorated high powered astronaut woman
... lets passion get the best of her and .... as I read between the lines she
leaves a mark on womans advancement in our society. This leaves you
nauseated as you see and hear Jay or David rip into this episode of
passion.

Laredo.... Men do the same thing as you surely know when it comes to
passion. This whole story centers around astronaut triangle of love passion
gone astray with one leg driving miles with intense jealousy to confront
another woman. It is the diaper angle that catches the mind of many and
the news plays this aspect uP to the max.

Why do you feel so bad Laredo?
Is it because this situation involves a woman getting caught in a passionate
situation? Or is it that a renowned woman messes uP big time for all the
world to see and her wrong doing has an effect on the way you perceive
others will evaluate woman as credible in what ever opportunities they
choose in the future? This too will pass Laredo ... all women won't be
tainted by this event. This event could be looked at like the dumb crook file
with an astronaut making a foolish move. Laredo... it is all about this darn
diaper angle that has caught the media. This aspect shows real dedication
to her intense jealous cause .... to make her point as soon as she could.
Passion... in humanity can be mindless but she really got the media in the
juggler ... with the picture of the drive for miles on end with such intensity.

The media and late night will always grasp at such passion, from humanity.
Woman or man it doesn't matter.

is good enough to be given a square deal afterwards." -------Theodore Roosevelt

Steve you are 100% right.

Laredo, only if he wore a diaper. The truth is there is a man involved and he seems to be escaping for now. Soon they will catch up with him.

There are 3 people involved here and all 3 should have known not to be involved with their co-workers to begin with.

The only redeeming part of this whole mess is the public joking may convince others this is truly not a good way to behave. Perhaps someone else will consider the consequences before making such a really bad choice. Meaning all 3 of the participants.

So it would have been just as funny if it were a man, eh?

It'd've made Letterman and Leno and been the top story on all the net news sites for a whole cycle, or maybe two.

In a pig's eye.

I don't feel bad. It's just one more instance of the way women are seen as less worthy of respect, no matter what they've done or what stresses they're under.

Oh, and don't patronize me. As a woman I have no idea what kind of idiot things men might do for passion; but I know what kind of stupid things I've seen them do trying to get laid, and frankly pathetic doesn't begin to touch the rank idiocy.

Whit the attempted murder charge the state can order a psychological exam.
