I too took a pregnant wife to Friendship! And stayed in a teepee! But we lucked out on the water issue. And we have tent camped all our lives. It is just the 10 days continous in the small trailer that I'm worried about.

Seems every spring we went to Friendship it rained like mad. Last time I went to Friendship was about 5 years ago but it was nothing like it used to be. TeePee village wasn't anywhere near as interesting as it was back in the late 70's early 80's. We also stayed in a teepee one year in the rain, the fire inside made it nice and warm.

Movie night at Turkey Run.

Anyone have a favorite movie? We'll be viewing a movie Saturday night (weather permitting) at the gathering.

If there are any special favorites, let me know.

Last year we saw "The Long Long Trailer" as well as "RV Crazy "and they both fit in well with the "Trailer experience".

I still have both movies but I'm open for suggestions.

Sounds like people are beginning to wake up after the winter silence. I've been buried in tax returns and will be for six more weeks so I've been quiet too. Haven't worked on my TD in at least a month and I still have much to do before Turkey Run. Whatever you guys decide to watch will be fine with me. I just need to get out of this office. :throw PC:

Glad to hear you'll make it.
Yes it's been to long a winter I've been working slow also way to much to do.
May not have it complete but the outside will be done and most of the inside.
I don't know about the galley.

As far as the movie I'm up for about anything. The wife still hasn't seen RV Crazy either.

Turkey Run May 19th get together....

How about a white elephant gift exchange I have duplicate camping goodies that I am sure someone can use and I think it would be a hoot to see some of the "treasures" that others have hidden in their attics , basements , and garages. Everyone who wants to make a donation gets a
number and can draw randomly for any other number in the hat. Lets keep the stash hidden until the last minute to add to the laughter .

Those that don't care to donate can still watch and laugh with us

I can't make a movie choice until the wife is home

But I was wondering What time people are planning to start arriving. Check in is at 2pm. I plan to be there at 2 or a little earlier if they'll let me sneak in before check in

Scott, The movie choice will be done at the Gathering and turned in on a voting sheet. I thought I'd show the list so people could get a glimpse of the available movies. If you (or anyone) have any to add, let me know.

Although the check in is 2:00pm, most places I've been will let you check in a little early. Most people will arrive between 2:00 and 5:00pm (except Grover and Jill who could arrive any time before morning). It's fun to try to guess when Grover will show up.

Don't worry about the Movie choice because it could change between now and May 18.

BTW, I will arrive on Thursday to get a head start on the season.

I wish I could I need it but this will be the first time we've left the twins for the weekend. so sitters for 2 three year olds is a task in itself

I thought you were bringing just the certain movies. That looks like some good choices. Do you have a dvd player? I think a good scary movie might be good we'll put some thought into it.
Did I tell you we've only got 55 day's

Can you tell I'm ready to go, I need the weekend away.

For those following this. The wife and I plan to canoe Sat. so maybe we can get a group discount going
