Looks like the commute on Tuesday might be a little hairy.

Another reason that I like working out of the house. Instead of driving to work I just walk to the basement. 8) 8)

I don't want to be insentive but I hope it all stays North. I am sick of the ice and snow.

The rest of you be careful and buy batteries. ;)

I'm thinking of taking a snow day too. I have software at home that I can use for doing my job so I really don't need to drive an hour in this stuff.

The last I heard is (by Wednesday) we could have close to 15" on the ground. The bad thing will be the 25-30mph wind.

Not close to the blizzard of 1978 when we had around 40" with the wind.

My wife (who is always prepared) asked if we have things that we might need in case the storm is really severe. I rounded up all of the teardrop stoves, charcoal, generator, lights and other things that we might use camping.

These things all come in handy when the weather does its thing.

I found 2 two liter coke bottles, (2) 12 packs of Michelob Amber Bock, several bottles of wine and lots of candles. We have lots of things to cook on the camp stove and we should be just fine.
This might be a great way to enjoy Valentine's day.

I'll pass. We had a week of it and no privacy to enjoy it.

Definitely going to take a day of leave. It's snowing now but I have no doubt I could get in to work without a problem. It's the drive home through the freezing rain that I'm not gonna mess with.

I work installing interfaces between computer systems in hospitals. The company I work for is based in Kansas City but used to have a Detroit office. A couple of years ago they decided to close the Detroit office. Some of us were told that they had to move to KC. A few of use were told that we could work from home or move to KC. Everybody that was given that option now works out of their house. Luckily I was one of them.

I heard that New Orleans just got hit with tornadoes, and that they're expecting Biloxi to get hit with them too.

We are expecting (what I have heard) 15-19" :? From the looks of it ; it might come true. Winds are about 25-35 with gusts to 40. Yuck. Today I'm staying home. :applause:
