To seal in floor insulation or not.

Still trying to clean out the garage enough to start my teardrop project, but this statement got me thinking.

Are you saying that you wouldn't use the spars underneath the plywood on the floor, and simply attach the plywood to the trailer chassis? I thought about this, and couldn't figure out why this may be a bad idea, as long as you didn't want insulation in the flooring.

Yes, that's what I'm saying. Take a look at the Camp Inn trailers, the ones that everyone goes goo-goo over, that's how they do it. That is also how the original teardrops did it way back when, except they used 1/2" plywood. With a mattress on the floor, there is really no need for insulation in the floor. Then, if you leave out the floor insulation, there is really no need for the floor framing...just adds weight, cost, and complicates things.
