I was feeling like what you said, back in 1998, and i put it off, and put it off, finally I wokeup one morning and I couldn't feel my own face to rub my hands over it....... After a few minutes sitting on the side of my bed, I got dressed, and drove myself to ER, they put me straight in the Hospital. Did all kinds of tests, and about 4 or 5 days later they put a Pace Maker in...that was July 20th, 1998 .... as soon as I was awake, I felt 100% better than I had in years. So, what I'm saying is, there are a lot of things they can do nowdays. News like that can be a real shock..... But, Dr's and Hospitals have come a long way in the last 20 years. just listen to what they say, and the Good Lord willing, we can all Camp another day.

Kevin:

If you get a chance to
look to your local Public Broadcasting System (PBS) TV schedule.
You may see the 2 hour special called
"The Hidden epidemic: Heart Disease in America".
IC it is on my PBS @ 3AM Friday early morning 2-16-07 once again.
Two hours devoted to CHF and heart disease in men and women.
They hit the subject from all directions. Very informative to say the least.
Learned participants as well as those with heart problems. The pictures,
diagrams and tests are shown and explain to the viewer what signs to look
for and how to avert going down the path of heat disease. They have a
segment where Larry King has a panel of about 6 doctors and they hammer
the subject. Last eve was the first time for PBS to show this program here
in San Diego, so think it is most likely going to be shown a few more times in your area.

Best wishes Kevin....

Kevin,

My Father sufferd with CHF for years (he is also a diabetic). He underwent a quadruple bypass two years ago and is physically doing well.

I'll pray for you, (hey, it can't hurt).

Kevin,

I started looking on the web for CHF diets...

I'm seeing a lot of

NO salt
NO caffeine
NO saturated animal fat
NO processed foods
NO alcohol
etc

I would definitely consider eating at Subway like Jared did

Choose the Veggie Delight sub as often as you can! :) Choose a wheat bun, and vinegar dressing.

And of course, work with your doctor, and get his approval for your new diet.

Also check your email.
