Who's Gonna Win The Daytona 500???

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Well, after yesterday I'll say it's gonna be a shootout at the end between 8, 20, 29 and maybe one or 2 others. I wouldn't be surprised to see Blaney up there in the mix somewhere. That Toy was impressive yesterday! We have yet to see how they run with the big boys.

I'm pickin' Harvick or perhaps Johnson.

There I finally got my avatar loaded - always the happiest in the 'ol racermobile.

I'm pullin' for Carl Edwards. I WAS a Stewart fan until last year at Pocono. His hot head is gonna kill somebody some day.

Yes, I thought Martin had it wrapped up but a little bobble at the end seemed to doom him. If the #5 had came up and put the block on Harvick a little sooner, Martin would've had it in the bag. DAMN, that was a good race ending!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad for Martin that NASCAR didn't throw a yellow, but hey... They needed an exciting finish instead of a frozen one I guess...

OMG...wild last 40 laps and a finish worthy of THE 500...proving once again the superiority of CHEVROLET ;)

Yeah, Mark got screwed again. NASCAR is famous for the yellows for debris, but upside down and on fire doesn't warrant any action. NASCAR has been the only show in town for far too long, all these publicity driven enforcements of unwritten rules, and arbitrary promotion of the show over safety have finally driven me away. Need something else to do on Sunday afternoons.

NAASCAR get criticized for throwing the yellow much too quickly in the CUP races versus the Busch and Truck races...this time it may...or may not have changed the outcome...oh well, whatchagonnado....

A race track that size they won't throw it because they show the yellow as soon as you cross the finish line on the last lap any way, they had a hole two miles to go around unlike a short track. If the crash wasn't on the last turn they would have thrown the yellow.

Dean....if you give up on this sport as I have on baseball, NFL etal... because of all the crap...whatcha gonna watch...Wide World of Badmitton? and then what....Oh my god a loaded "shuttlecock"!!! I'll stick with it, it's been around for 50 years, but only in the last 15 has it become really mainstream. Automotive technology changes so fast, unlike the shape of a basketball or a hoop, and they are going to keep up with the changes. I think it's going to be an evolving thing...Rules will change...you may or may not agree with the rules, but when it is all said and done...it's a business and businesses are out there to make money. Nascar makes it's dough from marketing the race coverage and ticket sales, and lot of other crap, Budweiser wins and sales boom on Monday...even back in the 50's Keikehaufer said...The Mercury wins on Sunday...outboards sell on Monday...Doug

I thought it was pretty dang exciting. I think #7 should get some style points for that finish! I admit I'm not a big race fan but I do watch once in a while. I was really pullin for Martin but that wreck really messed up his help.

I gave up on baseball after the strike, I don't think much of basketball and football is loosing some of it's luster as well. There's always PBS.
