Retro your TD with "Moon" hubcaps...

My TD came with those white steel wheels that all trailers seem to come with these days, but, I found a way to hide them.

Hubcap Mikes sells some Moon style wheel covers that work on those wheels, in 13, 14, and 15 inch sizes.

CD you can get full moons from JC Whitney on line. I have white wheels too but they are covered with Moons.

Kurt, those are not actually moons. They are another style made popular in the fifties and sixties. You can get those at Mike's, too, where they are called Racing Disks.

Fantastic! That’s the look I wanted but coming to the end of my build I have run out of budget. I have been fretting over what to do with those wheels. That’s going to work out great. Thanks for the heads-up.

12-inch wheels may be tough. The one's I got only go down to 13 inches.

You may want to check the bolt pattern, and see if your trailer will take a larger wheel. It would make the ride smoother and could make it track a little better behind you, too.

Not to hi-jack the thread but; I went to the junkyard and got a “test” wheel this weekend. I wanted something with more backspace to pull the wheel in closer to the body. I thought I had measured everything and I printed out the list of bolt patterns found elsewhere on the forum. Found the wheel, got it home and the dang center hole was too small. I have since figured a different approach and using these hub caps I should be okay. If you go to the junkyard measure everything first and take a checklist with you.

CD, they certainly are "Moons". Moon made these wheel covers in the 50's as well, they were called "Spun Aluminum screw on Moons."

Just a helpful hint - make sure you get covers that are deep enough to go over those big HF hubs/grease caps. If they are like mine, they stick way out. I haven't been able to find any to fit yet.

I'm confused. The one in Barb's pic has a flared edge with a hole for valve stem, while Casey's don't appear to cover the valve stem. Is this an optical illusion with the chrome???

I'm afraid the full chrome would overpower the look of my teardrop, but the trim rings might be about right.
