Penny got into one of those sticky mouse traps. No danger but what a mess. Oh, you have to get it off with mineral spirits. But with the sensitivity of the dog's skin poison control recommends cutting the sticky stuff out of the hair. Use the mineral spirits on your hands.

I got one of those glue mouse traps once. The box said it was a humane trap, and it sounded good to me. And, I wouldn't have any poison around the house.

A couple of nights later, I hear a racket coming from the garage. It's a rather large mouse, stuck to the trap, trashing around and just making things worse. Humane?! Now, all I've got is an alive ticked-off mouse stuck to a trap. I still had to take it outside and whack him with a shovel to put him out of his misery.

Humane? Bah!
