Dave, how did you know ... I love a man that makes decisions!!!!
;)

Do we have to reserve on reserveamerica? Or what? is there a specific camp ground name or something?

*** I looked on reserve america and there are lots of spaces, but checked the Eagle something and it doesn't let you pick a certain #'d spot.... so how will we do this?

In the past someone's been able to pick up others reservations and group all the tears together.

Yes, you do have to go to Reserve America and search for Cedar Hill State Park. Then, if you want someone to pick up your site, you have to pay the full amount of the reservation and give your LAST name to the person who will be picking it up because it is filed by last name.
If that is done, the the person there can pick your reservation up early in the morning of the first day you have paid.
I will join you all on Saturday afternoon. I have an all night cancer walk on Friday night.

aaaahhhh......back to Cedar Hill.......this was the first gathering I got to attend in Sept 2005. Of course I was tearless then, just a lurker, but look at me now....I have a nice tear, been to several gatherings and I'm buying parts for tear #2 and tear #3 and yes.......I'm addicted!!!

ATTENTION DFW PEOPLE ...............
There are lots of people on this forum from, and around, the DFW area. This gathering is a GREAT opportunity for you to come have a look-see at the teardrops and get ideas for your build. This gathering is IN the DFW metroplex and close to home for ya. I first went to this gathering at Cedar Hill in 2005 and Dave & Cindy, Lenny & Joanne, and Peg were more than happy to show me their teardrops and answer any questions I had about building one. A great group of people.

Here is a shot of mine at the Lake Bistineau gathering.

Donna and I will be comming to this one. We will make reservations. I see the check in time as 2:00PM. Is that the earliest we can check in? I was thinking of showing up early Saturday morning. Any advice out there?
Thanks!

I'd imagine you could show up and check in later, but I really have no idea. Probably a good question for davel.

Just curious..... how well marked or how easy is it to find the camping place there? I don't know if I'll try to come down really late Friday night or very early Sat morning..... not reserved yet, but 99% sure

When we went there last time, we ran into one of the park rangers near the entrance, of course, we got there late. They told us where the others had setup. It's a pretty big park, finding out where to go would save you a lot of time.

Cindy and I are going to go scout it out this weekend and see what the park is looking like this year. We're planning on getting there Thursday afternoon after school is out. Anyone wanting my Cell number please PM me and I'll give it to you. I'll post a map this weekend of what we find, but with Texas parks you never know what's going to be available.

By the looks of things, the bluebonnets should be in full bloom by the 28th and the view around the park should be stunning.

If you want to do the hiking trails in the park, you'll probably want a good walking stick as well as plenty of water, they get a bit steep in places.

Tammy just made our reservations for Cedar Hill SP for 4-27 thru 4-29. Hope the rain stays away. We are looking forward to another TD camping trip. Beavers Bend was a blast. It will be late Fri. evening before we get there unless I can get off work that day.

I'm still hoping and planning, will likely be there either very late Friday night or more likely on Saturday morning...

We'll see.

We're not going to make it. I am going to save my vacation time for the Utah gathering.

Rocky,

Hate hear that. We'll miss you and Mell  but we understand. You can't make them all. Maybe someday we'll be retired and then we'll be able to go all the time.
