I heard that if you sign up for Nutrisystem in one state and travel to another, nothing you eat will cause you to gain weight! :R That's why I live in the Arklatex, I can cheat on my diets and not use too much gas! Ha! Seriously, I don't plan on Nutrisystem that weekend at all, Bring on the Calories! :chips:

...one of the secrets to a successful diet is to occasionally say..."the heck with it" and indulge yourself...a TD gathering is one such occasion...along with weddings/holidays and any other days that you just feel the need to feed ;)

I think it's like birthday cake or vacation .... ya know, the calories don't count.

The new thinner Scott (s4son) will help you out.... or you can rely on each other to not overdo !

I'll bring up the dinner list again by mid March... It's still a month away but tomorrow will be 70* in OKC !!!! yea!!!!
Some things are way over my head !! ...but it keeps me looking UP!

Hey Sodapop tear:
Be sure to wear a name tag; you'll be so thin I might not recognize you!

:( thank you for your condolences. We have had a rough 6 months, we lost our grandmother in December as well. Planning these teardrop trips have given us something to look forward to. :)

All along I have planned on a trip to visit my daughter and making it to Beaver's Bend this year. But, I have not wanted to commit until I got a better mileage tow vehicle.
Now that I have, Winter has finally arrived here in NE Iowa. Am I nuts!!!??? Well three weeks can make a big difference.
Anyway, I have noticed that the Buckeye section is full. Are there other sites nearby? If I just show up will sites be available or do I really have to reserve.
I know I shoud have committed earlier but couln't seriously think camping in the dead of winter.

Randy, that would be absolutely AWESOME if you can come!!!

PM Linda (she started this thread) as I don't think Beavers Bend takes reservations per se but Linda has been taking care of it all, and we pay her etc...

By the way , we have been in the 70s several days now but it's been awfully windy! It's cooling down to highs in the 50s this weekend, but no doubt will be pleasant again in four weeks!!!

I can't wait.... I'm itchin to go teardroppin !!!!

:applause: Bought an SUV tent yesterday so we'll have a "guestroom" for the teenager ( & a place to stand upright if it rains!) Counting the days! :vroom:

Randy, there a lot of sites at BB but they only put aside 31 for reservations...I would bet you can find a site in the park and maybe even double up in one with the others...I sure wish we could make it but alas poor Yorick, I still don't see it hapenning  ...but y'all have loads of fun anyway....

Thamks everyone
I do plan on making it I actually have planned on it since last year, but needed a different tow vehicle. My 63 Ford Unibody looks good ahead of a teardrop and mechanically would make it no problem but 10 MPG with a 15 gallon tank would kill me.
I should be all set now with an 02 Dakota
I am thinking of leaving the weekend of the 26th and visiting my daughter in Durant before going to Beaver's bend. I may even be able to talk her into coming along. She is the proud owner of my first build.

Later

Hey Sodapop... making you should paint a "crown" on the roof of your Coca Cola teardrop... the truckers and such going down the road would get a kick out of it... haha

Yes, it's a little closer now....

FOOD>...... or maybe I'm just hungry....

It's 3 weeks away, we'll have a potluck on that Saturday night...

I have no idea yet what I'll be making/bringing for it , but me & s4son will kinda coordinate it and make sure where and what time and such.
