Personally I give Vista a few years until they at least work out at least 50% of the bugs. The bug list is lllloooooonnnngggggg...
I'm still convinced that Microsoft somehow embeds 'the slow virus' into all copies of windows. This virus is really simple... it just checks the current date against the original date of the windows version and injects the 'slow factor'. Thus if your computer is say... a year old.. then an injected slow factor of 25% is generated. This simply means the computer will run 25% slower than when you originally bought it. By year 2 you are down to 50%.. so your computer is half as slow. Naturally you probably upgraded windows (1000's of patches and bug fixes), updates to IE, etc... this usually adds another factor of 25% per year. Needless to say, even if you do a 'restore', the pre-programmed 'slow virus' will get you.. and all the patches you have to download and install will get you too. So you can't win.
What does this all mean? Regardless of what you do, you will be forced to buy a new computer and windoze every 2 years if you want a usable computer.
No wonder Bill is leaving Microsoft, I believe it is next year. We caught on to his scheme!
