Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Thanks Colorado!!

I feel sorry for Alabama and any other state that got caught in this storm coming from Colorado.(At least that's where they are saying it started.)
Up here... We got a sh*tload of snow in a few hours, tied up traffic like you wouldn't believe. Took me 3.5 hours to get home from work tonight, usually a 1/2 hour drive. Light comes on in the truck, I need gas. Since I have a company credit card I can only get gas at ESSO, and right now we have a fuel shortage because of a refinery fire. So, the three stations on the way home... this is what I see....They better have gas tomorrow or I won't be able to get to work.....
To top it off, we had a train derailment in Whitby, which caused chaos to the transit system... All in All, a good day... Welcome March 1!!

John, Doug--

I was on vacation just a couple of miles from Lake Tahoe at 6,000 feet when that storm came through last week. All we could do was wait for teh snowplaw to come through about noon-2pm. did quite a bit of snow shoeing, digging the snow from the car for the plow to remove, digging out the garbage cans to be picked up, clearing the icicles from poking into the windows... Are we having fun yet? :snow: For some reason the electricity never went off, so the water pump kept working. Ever try to melt enough snow to fill a water tank? Fortunately I was on vacation and didn't have to get to work - never would have made it. With two feet a day for three+ days there should now be plenty of snow, but we are still behind the average!
