Got more snow

Postby rooster » Wed Mar 07, 2007 7:58 pm

Most of the winter snow on my tear was almost gone and I thought with the nice weather we've been having the past month, but I was mistaken and I woke up to another 5/6 inches of the stuff. Whoo is me . . . Where is spring?

Jim,

I hear you Jim...I'm ready for spring. We've had 165 inches of snow in Juneau this winter. Here's a clip from the daily fish wrapper:

Snow total in Juneau just below two and a half feet since last week

The Juneau Airport has received nearly 2 and a half feet of snow between last Thursday and yesterday.

Meteorologist Kimberly Vaughn says when the 5 point 4 inches from Tuesday are added to the total there's been 29 point 6 inches since Thursday.

Rain and sleet changing back to snow later today is in the forecast with an accumulation of only one to two inches.

Up to two inches is expected tonight and 1 to 3 inches Thursday.

Come on North again, Jim. Your honeymoon spot is still available. :)
    8) Clear blue skies & lots of sunshine. Only about 15" of snow all winter.
Have you been hibernating/honeymooning in your teardrop igloo all winter?

We were in the 20's the last few days but next week we'll have at least two days in the 50's. Get the sun tan lotion out. :relaxing:

Postby rooster » Fri Mar 09, 2007 10:08 pm

It must be nice to live where its warm durning the winter months. 8)
I love the snow from inside the house and enjoy the sunny weather, even though I have 24" of snow around the trailer yet. I just have to have wait it out like everyone else. I'll talk to the Spring God and have him come early.
