have always wondered if anyone has ever done research on which beer causes the most violence. What beer drinker hasn't wanted to kick somebody's ass while intoxicated?

Don't consume alcohol at all, but one of the favorite "beers" around here would be (non-alcoholic)
Jamaican Ginger Beer.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Just a great taste, IMO. Not too heavy or bitter and you know you've had a beer afterwards.

I'm also a yuengling fan,,(required as I live nearby) I have at least half a case in the fridge now,, and a couple sitting in the snow out the back door. I'm also a fan of rolling rock which I believe after this year will go away,, Anheiser bush bought the name, scrapping the brewery and as the rumor goes it will be made in one thier existing plants. So much for the glass lined tanks in old latrobe,, now I think I'm going to cry,,
If you ever get near pottsville go tour the brewery,, cheap tour and ends with a couple beers!!

Well, since you have dis-allowed FREE I guess I gotta got to my second choice.....

My first choice has got to be Baltika No. 9 In addition to being a great lager, it is always at least 8% and comes in one liter bottles. Never been able to get past one beer and still remember anything.




If I am feeling in the mood for a darker beer, I don't think that you can do better than Smithwick's Irish.


I got all the stuff, so next, I want to see if I can make good beer at home.

That is funny. When I was in Ireland and just a tad over done with Guinness, I looked for something light, a Smithwicks.
Nothing like a nice red ale.

I don't know what is wrong with me, but I have never been able to acquire a taste for Guinness. I have tried plenty of times but it always tastes like the malt was way over roasted. But if I ever make it to Ireland like I hope to, I certainly want to try one over there. My friends from the UK tell me that what we have here is a mere shadow of the original. I'm looking forward to seeing for myself

I am not a Bud fan but as a brewer, what they do phenomenal. They make the same beer everywhere. It always tastes the same. That is very hard to do. That being said, it ain't good beer.
As I understand it, Guinness is made at four or five sites around the world. They do taste markedly different from place to place
. The Guinness on the Old Sod is much mellower and less bitter. But it is still damned expensive over there. When I visited in 1988, I could not figure how the locals could afford it. Now the dollar has gone belly up to the Euro and I don't know how we could afford it.

But The Day will be soon on us and time for bit of Guinness.
