Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

John... That really looks great! I think you're on to something there... I may hafta try my hand at building one. One thing I noticed... Why couldn't you just put both fans up near the top and let the pressure return the air through vents at the bottom? Just thinkin outloud here... ;)

Looking good so far. But nobody asked the really important question yet. How many beers will it hold?

I could do that... except there's no vents on the bottom..... :) . As it is one fan sucks, and one fan blows......nuff said...

I figured this would have the cool air moving around much better than a passive vent...am I on the right track???

John... I'm no expert on the subject for sure. That should work fine. My thought is the lower fan isn't really doing anything? The air has to go through that hole anyway. I was just thinking two fans at the top would move more air if there were equal static vents at the bottom. Then again... I'm from the "if it works, don't fix it school" so I would try it as is and see how well it cools.

It's slowed to a crawl.... Work, cold weather, and I'm not sure how t6o do the doors. It's being built in place , so I have to make sure all the wiring is in place, the cabinets are done, varnished, counter is in , and I don't have to take anything apart anymore........Dang......I still have to do the floor.......... :?

i want to thank you for your insparation and great ideas. i built an icebox for my TD based on what you have done. i would not have ventured into this had it not been for your post. you made it seem easy and it was.

again, thanks!

I may be getting a little of subject now, but I wanted to ask. Have any of you guys glassed over foam before? I've been wanting to build a heavily insulated fiberglass cooler for a while now. This would be for use at home, not to carry camping. I was just wondering about glassing over the foam insulation to avoid the added weight of any wood or other type wall reinforcing material. Would I have to use a specific type of foam to hold up the fiberglassing process (resins) or a specific type of resin to not destroy the foam? Wow, that sounded a littel confusing!
