HF shears or nibbler???

Postby slipperyd12 » Tue Mar 20, 2007 1:35 pm

Hi All

Harbor freight has the nibblers on sale for 29.99. The reason I am leaning toward them is that they cut up to 16 ga. and the shears cut only 18 ga.
The only place I have found 5 ft wide it comes in .050 which if I figure right comes out to 16.5 ish ga. I have seen alot of people using the shears. If anyone is using the nibblers let me know how you like them or any problems. I am going to buy them 3/21 I am ready to see the skin on my trailer.
Thanks
John

I used the hacksaw blade on my jigsaw. Worked fine and I didn't need to buy a tool that I probably would never use again.

I used the nibblers but Joseph is right. I've not used them since.
If it's not broken, you're not trying hard enough.

Have you tried to see if someone rents either one?? If a regualr rental place does not then maybe someone in a body shop or the like would.
