Rayvillian, check your PM.

I'm drinking coffee, enjoying a quiet house. We're playing hooky from church
Plan on pulling out the TD today, stocking it and seeing how the SUV tent works. Not going to wash the pollen off til Friday! Went to Shreveport yesterday and ate some mudbugs... Also brought back 20 lbs of skirtsteak for our fajitas at the Sat night potluck. Now I've got to find enough containers to marinade all that meat in!
I'm already sad :( This time next week it'll be over...time to plan for next year!

?? for Coca Cola Teardrop

Postby Nobody » Sun Mar 25, 2007 9:36 am

Linda - Since we only visited 1 day last year, don't remember the procedure for checking in at camp. Seems I remember some folks running around looking for the 'host' lady, to pay (or finish paying) for their campsite. What's the procedure, do we check in at office, go directly to the area & select a site, give the second nite fee to you, or wait for the C/G host to collect? Thanks,
Harvey -

I've been wondering about that myself.
I'm cleaning and polishing today. We are leaving early Friday morning. Will probally be in Tyler around noon. Anybody else going on Friday want to hook up and caravan?
We are ready.

Almost Ready to Go !!

Postby RAYVILLIAN » Sun Mar 25, 2007 10:12 am

Gary and I are pulling out on Wednesday .... going to only travel about 4-5 hours a day and enjoy the first camping of the year! Gary changing the oil on the truck today and getting her ready to go. He spent the week sanding and repainting the WW. Looks like a brand new camper! Since I found myself unemployed as of a couple of weeks ago and Gary is self-employed ... we are going to take advantage of the nice weather and dont know when we are going home  We know we are going to Cedar Hill and to Minden ... plus a couple of local campouts ... we might just become camping bums for the summer :applause:
Where ever we raise the hatch is home.
Darn blank states keep getting further away and we keep traveling slower ain't never gona get this map full.

I'm going Friday, leaving from Frisco, just north of Dallas. I don't know my route yet.

You going up 45, or cutting across East Texas to get to Tyler?

After 1100 miles, a lot of scenery, and 3 nites at different Oklahoma state parks I am now in Durant having fun with my grandson.
I stayed last nite at Beavers Bend. Had a very relaxing evening and checked things out.
Area B definitly is completly booked for next weekend. If I or any other procrastinators want to camp with the group all we can hope for is a cancellation by one of ourselves or one of the other 8 sites.
I plan on getting there on Thursday and if no spots have opened up in B I will try to get one as close as possible to the river trail in A. Qute a walk but best that can be done. They do not allow 2 campers per site . Will allow camper and a tent.
To answer recent questions the camp hostess will come around and collect. She is looking forward to next weekend almost as much as us.

Will see everyone next weekend.

Hi everyone, we will be arriving around 1pm give or take. It takes us about 5 hours from Lufkin.
Go the the Buckeye area and there will be a park host at the gate.
They will probably come out and greet you.
Tell them you are with the "Modisette" group.
You then go into the park and pick your own site as long as it is labeled "Modisette" .
The park host will count teardrops and tents and sometime Saturday afternoon I will get with them on the count.
I will then hunt you all down and beg for money.
Senior's get a discount of $2.00 per night. I will try to get them to take off the $2.00 from the deposite for any Seniors so please tell me..
After collecting Saturday night's fees I will then go pay the park host.
If they give the Friday night discount to Seniors it will be deducted from Saturday's night. If anyone wants our cell phone # just pm me.
If you have any other questions let me know.

I've played hookey (sick) from work last Th & Fr, allergies turned in to head cold.... but still pulled the Jewel Box into the driveway , got a few little fixes , etc done and practiced by backing up... I did good! I think I got it figured out (with the hint from my neighbor)

I will probably leave OKC around noon or 1 on Friday and be there by 4 pm ... Kajamelu4 (Karol) has been busy this month, I'm sure, so not sure when she'll get there.

All the hog shows are over, all the hogs gone to the sale or the breeders, cleaning the hog barn still on the list. Spring break is over, traveling with the kids is done. Cows are moved over to the summer pastures, all shots have been given, cows and calves separated. Spring cleaning still to be done, but that will wait until next week. IT'S CAMPING TIME!!! (I still have 2 days of babysitting my 6 month old nephew however.) Don't know what time I'll get out of here on Friday, but it won't be soon enough. Can't wait. Don't know what I'll fix for the pot-luck, maybe some taters or green beans. (Sounds simple enough.) See you all Friday!

Beside the bread, I will bring a salad. It is one that can be used as a salad or even a dessert, but is considered a salad. Is there anything else that is needed that I can bring? Just holler or put it on the forum.
