I think the twin toppers I got were 48" x 72", Anyway i believe they are. I'll Check when I Get Home. My tear inside to inside is 47 3/4" so it fits Good. Will try to post picks tommorrow.

Buy a double or queen sized foam... and excellent way to cut foam, use an electric knife - just clean your thanksgiving turkey off of it first... you think I'm kidding but it works great...I'd glue 'em all up then "cut" away....or for you "sportsman", an electric filet knife.....

For those of you still looking you can get a 3" double (54") for $89 at Penny's. I got the 5".

They have twin size too. I found the xfirm too hard so if you are small best stay away from it.

This weekend I Bought (3) 1" Foam Twin Mattress toppers from Wal-Mart for 14.96 ea. For a total of 45.00. I Think They are made by Mainstays. I spray glued Them Together and BAM!!!!!!!! instant mattress. It is Really Comfortable and Affordable.

Looks great Chris, I like the trim color I'm a fan of trim darker than the walls

I put two layers of padding under mine, same type of carpet, but unless you're doing it for the insulation factor--don't bother:

I thought two layers would somehow make the floor "comfortable" for sleeping without a mattress, sleeping bags only, but no:

My ass STILL hurts from the last outing, and that was months ago.

Funny you should bring that up I was planning 2 layers under mine, know I no it won't help my ass. I learn so much on here.

I'm not getting Ahead of You. Just remember I have no Galley or Inside Cabinets. And plus your quality work is so much better than mine! I Can Tell by the Pictures your taking your time. I on the other hand get impatient and want to get finished. Which brings me to my next statement( Throw NO Stones Please!) I know I Said I Would Build A Woody, But it Will Be a Woody With Aluminum Roof. The Aluminum Will Stop At Front Curve. Kind of Like Scooter's, the front and Sides will be wood.

Chris, You Are Doing Quality Work, just not as much as I am. And I guess I will not throw stones at your aluminum top. I thought hard on putting Alum. on mine, but it all cam down to $$$$. Now I get to spend a weekend a year adding a coat of Spar to my TD instead.

I Found Aluminum at A local welding place for $ 70.00 per 4 x 10 sheet.
It was .040 thickness and I only needed one. So I Decided to go that route. I Still think it will turn out looking good.

Keep in mind that I didn't use rubber padding. I used the pinkish kind of asbestos looking stuff from HD--it was cheap.
