TD brakes or not

Postby Catoosa Grani » Wed Apr 04, 2007 1:23 pm

We need some feed back on brakes for the TD's. Do you think it is necessary or not needed? Our TD goes into production next week and we need to decide if we need the brakes or not. We sure apprecitate all of your input!

I'm currently without brakes but have bought the stuff to add brakes. They aren't mandatory but I recently had someone run a light in front of me and I wish I had the extra braking. My car stops nice by itself and I want that same performance when I'm towing and adding that much weight to the car adds to its stopping distance. It will have brakes before I go on vacation.

If you are gonna pull it with the Mini, it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Betty,

It all depends on how much weight you are pulling where you are driving and your tow vehicle.

For me I am very conservative and am going to add brakes to the trailer even though my tow vehicle is an F150, I view it as mine or somebody else's life is worth more than a couple hundred bucks.

Just my $.02

Betty,

I wish that I could help you, but I don't know.

I agree with Rocky, if your going to pull it with the Mini, they would be nice to have.
