Earth is a globe and somebody had the nerve to print it on a flat sheet of paper. I'm appalled!!! :roll:

Moral: Don't believe everything ya see in print. ;)

...ya know...I can remember(actually) several times that the world had a distinct resemblance to that map...I also discovered that a couple of cups of good strong coffee, "the morning after" usually straitened things right up again :D :lol: ;)

Great thread--and it reminds of Kierkegard, or Nitsche, or Kafka--or one of those other philosophers we all read at least 2 pages of:

If a guy shoplifts from stores, he should be EXECUTED--because this type of behavior will continue throughout his entire life...harming countless businesses and people in direct and indirect ways.

If he murders his wife in a fit of rage--just let him go.

The problem is solved, and the chances are he WON'T do this kind of thing again.

That lesson always stuck with me from college Philosophy 101.
