Looking to get a teardrop

Postby hollywood_72 » Sat Apr 07, 2007 9:21 pm

Hi All,
I race and recreational ride motorcycles and have been looking for an alternative to sleeping in a tent. I’ve run across The Little Guy Teardrop camper/trailer and thought this would work great. I can still load my bike into the back of my truck, hook up The Little Guy and go off to the races or trails. I’ve been searching the web like crazy and found a brand new 2004 Little Guy Deluxe for $2500. Can anyone that has experience with this model let me know if this is a good deal and the pros and cons of this model.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge

Steve

Steve, welcome aboard!!!...at that price if it isn't hammered or trashed, I think it's a deal...lots of us builders will put much more than that into a tear. Sort of depends on what abilities you have, and how much time and effort you want to put into one...you could pick up one cheaper, but most likely it'd be a owner built unit and might need much more work than you want to do on it to make it usable to the point that this one is...If you fit in it and it'll work for you, go for it...chances are, you'd make all sorts of little modifications on it to suit your needs anyway...we all do...Doug

Thanks for the info Doug,
The little guy is at a RV dealership and is brand new it's just a 2004 model. I would like to buy one ready to go as I don't have a lot of time or the skills to build one. I’m sure whatever I buy there will be some modification to it. (i.e. 110v electrical, TV/DVD, built in stove and cooler, ect…)

Thanks again,

Steve
