Movie Help!!

Postby GHOSTSSX » Thu Mar 29, 2007 9:38 pm

Hi All!

I am trying to figure out:

What is the name of the ballerina originally cast for "The Turning Point" (1977)that died of anorexia before filming?? She was cast as the daughter and died in 1976.

A friend of mine told me about this and we are trying to find out!!

Thanks,

CHUCK

Hope you all are doing well!

Chuck:

I have a feeling that you and your friend have some facts amiss with your
anorexic twinkle toes death story. I have read everything I can to figure out
this puzzle and the death of a person before the production of the movie is
not mentioned in any trivia. Although many women were asked and turned
down the part, None were to die before the movie was made, in any of the
stories and trivia of the making of this story.

I have a feeling there is a couple of senior moments in concert here. ;)

No Name

Postby The Teardrop Nanny » Fri Mar 30, 2007 5:35 pm

:( Hello Chuck,

Sorry that I don't know the name of the dancer, but this movie is ONE of my all time favorites, has been since it premiered decades ago!
I loved the storyline, but was especially fond of the dancing.
Hope your quest is successful.

Well, my Friend must be mistaken. She is still convinced that this happened, but I have searched long and hard EVERYWHERE, obits, trivia, movies, gossip rags, dance mags, etc and no joy.

Thanks to all who replied. I will have to break the news to her gently!

Chuck you can always back up and check the death record for that time and see if any match the discription. A further check into the womans history will lead you to the movie if true.
