Hate hear that. We'll miss you and Mell  but we understand. You can't make them all. Maybe someday we'll be retired and then we'll be able to go all the time.

Hi Dave
A while back you said you were going to check out the park. Have you been able to do that? Last time we were there it looked like the park was in need of some repair.

I haven't reserved yet, but still planning to...
I will guess that Dave & Cindy are doing the traditional turkey...

Potluck Sat. night? If so, I'll do deviled eggs very likely.

What's the head count/attendees so far?

Actually we're doing a brisket this time. I'm working on my recipe for the cook-off at the ITG. I could throw in a couple of chickens with it.

Caseydog,

You can't reserve in a specific site. All Texas parks will let you do is reserve a space. Cindy and I are going to go down this weekend and see what sections are open. Won't know for sure where until we get there. We'll be getting there Thursday after school. Hopefully it won't be that busy that weekend.

So, if I want to be sure to get a spot near the rest of you for Saturday, I better reserve Friday, too, and have someone grab me a spot till I get there.

I'm flying back from Land Rover (serious off-roading 8) ) school in North Carolina on Thursday night, and need to go to the office Friday, so I don't know if I'll have the energy to come out Friday night. Something tells me the LR course is going to be fun, but not too relaxing.

Anyway, I'll probably reserve a spot, and see what happens. If so, someone can grab my spot on friday -- whoever get's there early.

The reservations just mean that you will have a spot, it doesn't mean that you will get a particular spot, just a spot. Unless it's a holiday, that park is so big that you should be able to get close to the group. Yeah right famous last words, right?

I guess I hadn't even thought about a pot-luck yet.

I was thinking about a crock full of nachos, but that reallly isn't the best match for brisket.

Suggestions, anyone?

BG,

Anything goes at a potluck. That's what makes them great we get to try different things. :Flippin Burger:

Just send me a pm with your full name and I will go and pick your reservation up on Friday morning. Then you can call Dave when you get there to find out where you are.
It will be easier if you do both days but you can risk it for just Sat and somebody can pick it up.
Dave will post what area we are in on the forum Thursday night.

CINDY>>>>> Dave said y'all are going THIS thursday to do some checking .... will you be getting there that gathering weekend on Thurs or Fri???

I am planning to leave Fri a.m. from OKC , and come to the park and get my spot, but then go back into town to see a friend while I'm in the area... possible will stop to see them first, then come to the campground later or Sat. morning... still not sure just yet.
