Keith B wrote:CONGRATS ELMO - are you happy with it (besides the color)... I think the diamond plate, handles, etc. are reallly going to POP against that color and look Great  . So tell us, how do you like finish, hide, texture, smoothness, appearance... please feel free to reply after you've "come down"...

I actually think I like the color better than I thought...after looking at it.
It hides any flaws I was concerned about...it goes on smooth, but as far as smoothness it is the textured kind, so it is kind of rough to begin with. I would say as of right now I will give it a  . One more coat here in a little while and she'll be done. At least this part anyway.

I'm now kinda wishin I had gone that route, no money in epoxy, no 2 coats primer, no 2 coats paint, less sanding, waterproof, done in a day, TUFF against rocks and chips, hail, dings, etc. I'm sure it prob. has good fade and UV resistance..... that stuff is gonna wear like iron... can you take a couple "closer" pics.

Well---I think I like it! I really don't see a problem with the color. It will look real nice with the plate.

Here is the second coat. It is not that dark, but close.

Went on real nice and levels off nice also. Next time I would try the smooth and wear gloves. If I go by how it won't wash off my hands it is on there forever.
