I keep breaking Swivle Jacks UPDATE

First, I had the Harbor Freight one. It lasted about two years and the handle broke off. I bought the Northern Tool jack and it broke after a week. Again, the handles just break off. These are the jacks that side mount and have the little wheel. They're the cheapos and cost about $20. I've had it with the cheap POS jacks. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a replacement?

P.S. The weak point seems to be the handle and I know I'm way below the 750 lbs weight - closer to 100 lbs.

UPDATE: I e-mailed Northern Tool about my problem and asked for a replacement mailed free of charge. We'll see what their response is. I'd like to give them a chance to make things right if they're willing.

UPDATE 2: I spoke with Northern Tool and they were very friendly and helpful. They are sending me a new jack - the same old one, but what da' hey. No charge for anything, I don't gotta send the broke one back and no questions asked. Next time, I'll buy the Fulton. Good Job Northern Tool!!!!!

I had the same problem. My handle broke off. I switched to the Bulldog jack. So far no problems.

Now you tell me... I put a HF one on my trailer...hmmm... I have one on another little trailer and it hasn't broken yet, but then again I haven't lifted anything that heavy with it.... the one on my boat is a Fulton, and it's been on there for probably 10+ years, so I'd have to agree with the others... Fulton might be the way to go - it looking around they seem to be in the $50-$100 range, pending on weight, wheels, lift, etc.

It looks like the cheap HF jacks hold up on a light weight utility trailer. They just don't do well on heavier trailers.
