If so, I would "sister" a section of material along side the offending rib.
If it involves the radius..can you add a thin strip (3/8") to that side?

When you are born terminally CSR these things happen. Thank you Steve. I reread these over and decided to check cause Murphy loves me.

I am at a total loss how one of the ribs got so much shorter than the others. A full inch translating it's self to the problem. Crisis over and sister on the way. As soon as it stops raining so I can use my saw.

Miriam... Wow, a full inch off? Yeah Murphy was involved here for sure. I think a new rib just may be the only answer you'll be happy with in the long run. Hey, take heart... I guarantee it still happens to us long time wood butchers... We just get better at hiding our boo boo's.

Honestly I think I would have noticed an inch. I sanded the spars clamped together. The only thing I can figure is that it wasn't a hatch rib. I originally planned to put a ledge on the side for the hatch to land on and maybe cut two. I have one siting to the side but it is only an inch deep. CRS.. Or the shop trolls cut one for me. :?

Glad to hear that it's working out  I think your troll moved under my tear

I just experienced that worst part yet of my build, believe it or not it was paneling the inside walls. who'd have thought tacking up paneling could be so rough but the curved front on the wall makes it a challenge
:worship: Please take your troll back

Sorry to get of the subject I'll get of my soapbox now

Sorry Scott, no can do. Once they get scared off they don't come back. 8) Sorry about the inside walls. That is the reason Steve F does his inside and a outside before putting them up. I couldn't do that because I screwed the walls and frame down after they were up.

I had to recut mine because I had the grain going in different directions. :?

I did it! I wish I hadn't ! It is now square within an 1/8 of an inch cause I couldn't get the tape to stay on the corners. It might be square. My camper is not that square. :?

It is also reaching the point I cannot manipulate it easily.

Miriam... That does look fantastic! For a big honkin hatch like that to be that perfect is quite an achievement indeed. I'm impressed. Can't wait to see it skinned out!

Thank you all so much for being so great.

Ah the beauty of the camera. It ain't perfect. It has bumps everywhere. My jiggy jig saw. However the glue will fill those. It wasn't going to fill the biggy.

Right now the biggest problem it getting a skin on it.

Looking Good! If the skin cooperates and behaves you will have one beatiful hatch. Good luck and I'll be waiting for pictures. Keep the progress going :hammer: and before you know it you'll be hitting the road. :vroom:

Wait till you skin it and get all the finish on it. :phew:

You may need some big honkin' struts.
