Cabinets installed for the last time I hope!

Postby Airspeed » Mon Apr 16, 2007 10:55 pm

I got my cabinets installed permanently today, got the water tanks mounted and plumed, I even found some diamond creased aluminum to put up around my cabinets to give it that old diner look, I have to install some more of it tomorrow. I also got the steel icebox door taken apart ,re insulated and riveted back together and primed. Tomorrow I will finish sanding the ice box cabinet and get it insulated and primed and maybe even painted if I can find some catalyst for my paint.

I am going to try! that is if I have enough cash left for gas after I finish this thing! It has cost about $400 more than I estimated, I think I'm gonna have about $1500 into it by the time I'm done. The funny thing is I havent even put a hitch on my truck yet! The cart is definitely before the horse. Aaron

 Very nice job
Do you have a place to view any other pics of your tear I was wondering how the galley hatch closed around your cabinet configuration, Very unique

As far as no hitch I can fully relate I don't have one either, but I've found a way around it my best friend who's big in boating will jump at the drop of a hat to road trip so we take his car.

The hatch wraps around the cabinets and seals against the flat spot on the bottom ,There will be a removable floor in the center between the cabs that will slide out of the way when the hatch opens.
I have a bunch of pics here,

Arron, Auntie M is going to start with that nervous tick if you keep teasing her with pictures she can't see.
